The staff graciously helped us track our lost luggage, making our experience exceptionally welcoming. Dinner was delightful, with the best sticky toffee pudding we've ever had, making the stay memorable.

Perfect stopover for walkers!
We got a fantastic room with a view of fields, super roomy and comfy. Dinner was delish, with loads of local ales on tap. The breakfast was mouth-watering, wish I could’ve eaten more! The only bummer was my appetite was off. It was a great stop for tired trekkers like us!

Couples looking for a cozy stopover
First off, the staff were great, welcoming and genuinely happy to help us out after a long day of walking. Then, the food? Just spectacular! I had this slow-cooked lamb that just melted in my mouth, piled high with delicious veggies and piping hot. A generous Yorkshire pudding to soak up the gravy. It was like comfort food at its finest. Just what we needed!
It wasn’t exactly wallet-friendly but it was worth it.

the staff are absolutely lovely! ! and the food was really great, especially the breakfast. the location is also awesome, right on hadrians wall! i took a walk around the country roads and it was beautifull. i hope to stay there again next year.
one thing that bothered me was the check-in process, it felt slow and a bit disorganized. also, the bathroom could use some updates.

Totally recommend for a hurried visit
Friendly staff, delicious food, and a clean room made my stay really enjoyable, especially since the breakfast was pre-selected for convenience and the location was just a short distance from the wedding venue I was attending.

The Twin Room with Private Bathroom was really spacious and comfortable! Loved the big beautiful window that looked out over the fields. We even got a bath to relax in after a long hike, which was a nice touch. The beds were decent too, just on the softer side. Everything was clean and well-kept, so no complaints there. it felt cozy and welcoming after a tiring day.

Comfortable outdoor areas complemented a small overpriced room for our stay.

The food offerings were large and tasty, especially enjoyed the fresh fish goujons sandwich. Camping facilities lacked proper amenities, only had a cold tap. Not many options for breakfast. Chairs inside crowded during busy times.

A charming atmosphere greets you upon arrival, with a spacious and warm room featuring thoughtful coffee and tea service. The attentive staff ensured a welcoming experience throughout the visit. Dinner in the cozy bar area was a highlight, complemented by a great selection of well-presented, homemade dishes. The stairs to the pub made access to drinks and food incredibly convenient.

The room felt a bit run down, with a noticeable odour that made it less pleasant. The window latch was broken, so I couldn’t fully close the window, leaving the room a bit noisy at times due to traffic. I struggled with some of the slamming doors from the inn, which shook my room when they closed. On a brighter note, the staff were very welcoming and friendly. They made my experience a bit better. Location suited my needs for a wedding nearby, and the breakfast served was quite good. I appreciated that aspect thoroughly.
